An unintended expat blogger behind Warm Glow Field

Hi there, I’m Ava
I'm a project manager, a parent, and an expat living in Toronto, Canada.
A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Canada wasn’t in our long-range plan. Similar to many expatriate moves, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far greater.
The opening months were demanding — unfamiliar processes, new habits, new expectations. Routine tasks seemed tougher than they needed to be.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertain moments, and plenty of hands-on learning. Yet gradually routines took shape. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt steady.
Why I Built Warm Glow Field
Most online guidance fell into corporate relocation tips or superficial travel material. What was lacking was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical advice drawn from real-life experiences in Canada.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site is:
- Hands-on experience from living in Canada
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever something truly changes
This site is NOT:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- A sponsored review platform
- A generic travel blog
Moving Forward
Our time in Canada continues, and the learning process goes on. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Toronto or anywhere in Canada, please feel free to reach out.
Best regards,
Ava
